What must be in my contract? / Wat moet in my kontrak wees?
The terms your employer must give you in writing when you start work, as a simple checklist.
English
When you start work, your employer must give you your work terms in writing. Check that yours includes:
- your employer's name and address, and your name and job
- where you work and the date you started
- your working hours and days
- your pay, how you're paid, and how often
- your overtime rate
- any other payments, and anything you get "in kind" (like a room or meals) and its value
- any deductions from your pay
- your leave
- the notice period if the job ends
If you don't understand it, your employer must explain it in a language you understand. Keep your own copy safe.

- jou oortydtarief

Hou jou eie afskrif veilig.
